Lightweight and easy to assemble sandwich panels have become indispensable elements because:
- more and more urban plans are abandoning horizontal development in favour of vertical development, with apartment blocks and skyscrapers involving less land consumption but requiring the use of lightweight materials to facilitate construction up to considerable heights;
- sustainability is a subject to which everyone is sensitive, the lightness of the panels helps reduce emissions from transport and assembly;
- ease of handling and assembly reduces construction time and thus labour costs.
In building sector, sandwich panels are used first and foremost in cladding, external and ventilated façades. We produce them with customised finishes and processing for different uses, structural and decorative. Honeycomb cores and sandwich panels are also used for floors, bulkheads, ceilings, ramps and canopies.
The specifications of these materials vary greatly depending on the needs of the designer. The minimum panel thickness that CEL Components offers is 4 mm, the maximum depends on the machining required, such as cutting and squaring.
For more beautiful facades and ventilated walls
The lightness of sandwich panels makes them among the most suitable elements for constructing ventilated walls. Easy and quick to assemble, they often exceed solid material in physical qualities.
The solutions we have designed and manufactured are tested for outdoor environments; we can supply certified material if specified at the time of the quote request. The rigidity of the product allows the use of considerable size panels without having to use imposing load-bearing structures. The panels are customisable in terms of dimensions, shapes, colours, inserts and edging.

The suspended ceiling that is the solution
Ideal as a suspended ceiling, sandwich panels are very light and rigid, making them easy to hang or fix to the ceiling. The size of the products allows large areas such as airport and station lobbies to be covered.
Sandwich panels can be used outdoors as canopy roofs of various types and uses.
For interiors, sound-absorbing and air-conditioning solutions are also available in the new clima-acoustic panels.

Partition walls, even backlit, that stand out
For interior walls, the choice is between panels with a foam or honeycomb core.
The rigidity and lightness of CEL’s panels allow for easy handling and assembly of the product, using large manufactured products. The outer surface can be requested raw, ready for gluing the final material, or with customised processing such as edging and inserts, or aesthetic finishes.
We also offer sound-absorbing and/or air-conditioning solutions.

Easy to lay, durable floors
With the right configuration, sandwich panels can be walked on. Valid for machine room floors, floating and anti-slip floors, ramps for the disabled, lift cabins and for all places where it is useful to guarantee safety conditions.
The extreme rigidity and lightness of the slabs allows large areas to be covered with a limited number of large elements.
Certifications can be issued for some panels if requested at the time of quote.

In many cases, structural support, whether temporary or permanent, is a crucial element in the success of interventions. The panels of the Alustep series are safe, light and rigid supports with outer skins made of fibreglass , excellent for bonding. Available in different sizes, these panels are currently used for the tearing of frescoes and as mosaic support.
